Today we finally had a day without rain in Norway. For the past 2 days it was like winter. 12 degrees! In the summer! Crazy! In the morning I went to work, as I am working full time in a boutique for 2 weeks and then had a lovely coffee date with some friends. When I came home M. and me took some pictures that I have been dying to take all week but the weather was so bad that there was no chance. Yes, I know that Monday are outfit post days but I have been a bad blogger and didn’t have a back up post this time. I had this vision for this outfit, exactly how I wanted it and where I wanted it. It is so refreshing to have this clear vision when it comes to outfits. When I have moments like that everything just flows so smoothly and it is super enjoyable taking photos. Like with everything in life, preparation and vision is everything. Me, being a what I call ‘a selective perfectionist’, haha, I like everything to be scheduled. I am a perfectionist about some things but not about others. Are you like that too? Or does that mean I am not a perfectionist at all?
Here in Norway, I have noticed one cultural difference that is interesting for me. People organise a meet up and they agree on a day, but not on time! For me and my scheduled life which I laugh about :), I need a specific time period scheduled in my day. I don’t know how they can just loosely say, let’s meet on Tuesday evening for example. For me evening is 8pm but for somebody else it can be 10pm… I feel like I am being rude if I ask for a specific time, other Norwegians just go with it and I guess everyone comes when they can 🙂 Do you have a similar cultural way of dealing with time? Having said all of this let’s just say that I am learning to become much more flexible with time here. Sometimes it drives me crazy and sometimes I appreciate the unpredictable nature of this way of thinking.
